Frequently Asked Questions

What types of custom packaging does PacksDo make?

We make custom mailer boxes, shipping boxes, tuck boxes, display boxes, pillow boxes, gable boxes, rigid boxes and tray and sleeve boxes, as well as folding cartons and corrugated packaging. It also makes cardboard tubes, poly mailers, paper bags, box inserts, box dividers, packaging sleeves, stickers and labels, cards and flyers and hang tags.

Which packaging should I use to ship products to customers?

For shipping, choose mailer boxes, shipping boxes or poly mailers. Mailer boxes and shipping boxes are corrugated and protect the order in transit. Poly mailers are lightweight shipping bags that suit non-fragile items such as clothing.

Which packaging is best for products sold on a store shelf?

Paperboard boxes such as tuck boxes, display boxes, pillow boxes and folding cartons are made to hold and present a product. Because they are paperboard cartons, an additional shipping carton is strongly recommended for transit.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom packaging?

The minimum depends on the product. Rigid boxes and cardboard tubes have a low minimum. Shipping boxes and corrugated boxes start at 50 units. Most other boxes, paper bags, inserts, dividers and sleeves start at 100 units. Poly mailers, stickers and labels, cards and hang tags start at 500 units. Each product page states its own minimum. Need fewer? Digital printing is available on request for small runs: tell us the quantity and we will quote it.

How much does custom packaging cost?

The price depends on the size, quantity, material, printing and finishes, and the price per unit falls as the quantity grows. Most product cards on this page show a starting price per unit. Request a quote for the exact price of your project.

How long does it take to get custom packaging?

Production at PacksDo usually takes 5–7 working days. It starts once your artwork is approved and payment is received. Larger or more complex orders can take longer, and we confirm the date in your quote. Delivery usually takes another 4–5 working days, depending on the carrier and your location, so a typical order arrives in about 2 weeks and larger orders take longer. See the turnaround guide.

Can I order a sample before a full order?

Yes. We offer a digital print proof, a structural sample, a simplified sample, a press proof and a pre-production sample, and there is also a sample kit. See packaging samples to compare what each one shows and what it costs.

Does PacksDo help with the design?

Yes. We offer free design support and proofing. You can also download a free dieline template in your box size to give to your designer.

Can I find packaging for my type of product?

Yes. Packaging by industry shows the box styles that suit each kind of product, such as candles, soap, cosmetics, food and apparel.
