What to Look for in EVA Flap Poly Bags

An EVA flap poly bag is a light, soft bag, so the right size, film and closing flap make the difference between a bag that looks neat and one that slips or tears.

• Size and fit. Measure the product as you pack it, folded or boxed, and add room for the flap. A bag that is too tight is hard to close, and one that is too loose looks untidy.
• Film thickness. A thicker film feels stronger and holds shape better, and a thinner film costs less. Tell us the weight of the product so we can suggest a film.
• Closing flap. The flap folds over the opening and closes with a self-adhesive strip. Tell us whether customers will open the bag more than once, and ask what we can do if you need a different way to close it.
• Clear or frosted look. EVA bags come clear or with a soft, frosted look. Tell us how much of the product you want to show, whether the whole item or only a hint of it.
• Print. A logo or pattern on the bag turns it into packaging that looks like your brand. Tell us the colors and where you want the print.
• What goes inside. If the bag will hold food, cosmetics or children's products, tell us. The material has to suit the use, and rules differ from country to country.

• Keep the design simple, with one or two colors, because fine detail can be lost on soft film.
• Keep text and logos away from the flap fold and the seams, where the film bends.
• Think about how the product looks through the bag, because the contents become part of the design.
• Tell us your colors as Pantone or CMYK values, and ask for a proof before production.
• If the flap carries a sticker or strip, leave that area clear of print.
