Materials and coatings
White paperboard for full-color print or brown kraft for a natural look, plus varnish or lamination to protect the print.

Materials, Printing and Finishes
Folding cartons are made from white SBS paperboard or brown kraft board. White gives the best print quality for full-color artwork; kraft suits a natural, artisan look with black or white printing.
Print in CMYK for photos and full-color designs, or in Pantone to match an exact brand color. Add a water-based varnish or lamination to protect the print, then finish with matte, glossy, satin or soft touch.

Bars and gummies fit a printed folding carton. Truffles and pralines look best in a small box with an insert, and assortments suit a tray and sleeve or rigid gift box. Pillow boxes work for single treats, and display boxes sell sweets at the counter. Tell us what you sell and we will recommend one.
How do I size a box for bars or a tray of truffles?
Measure the product at its longest, widest and tallest points, in that order: length, width, height. For a tray of truffles, measure the whole tray, and tell us if pieces need to be stacked. Our measuring guide shows which side is which, and a structural sample lets you test the fit.
How do I keep each piece from moving around?
Use box inserts to give every piece its own space, or box dividers for mixed assortments. Both are made to fit your box.
Can the box touch the chocolate or sweets directly?
Tell us what the box will hold when you request a quote. Food-contact suitability depends on the materials and coatings used, so we confirm the right options with you before production rather than assuming one box suits every product.
Can I add a window?
Yes. Window cutouts are available on custom boxes, so customers can see the sweets inside. Tell us the size and position and we will show it on the dieline for you to approve.
Can I ship chocolate and candy by post?
Corrugated mailer boxes are made for shipping and can be printed inside and out, and inserts hold products in place. How well a product travels also depends on the recipe, the season and the journey, so plan your shipping method and delivery time carefully.

Can I change the design for Valentine's Day, Easter or Christmas?
