Cut Crease

How the box goes together

Step 1

Fold along every dashed line and glue the glue flap to the inside of the last side panel.

Step 2

At each end, fold the holder lid on the front panel: the strip goes down inside the front wall, the two side wings fold down against the side walls, and the tuck strip tucks in behind the back wall. This leaves a shelf with the oval hole (top) or the slot (bottom) that holds the tube. The size of the hole and slot is adjusted to your tube.

Step 3

Fold the dust flaps in and close the plain lids, tucking their tabs inside the front.

Measurements and files

What to measure

LengthLength: the wide front and back panels (the width of the tube)
WidthWidth: the narrow side panels (the thickness of the tube, and the depth of the lids)
HeightHeight: the height of the standing box (the length of the tube)

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the dieline templates free?

Yes. Type your size, check the preview and download the file. There is nothing to pay and no sign-up.

Can I send this file straight to print?

Treat it as a starting point for your artwork layout. Board thickness is not compensated, and exact flap sizes depend on the production line. After you request a quote and share your dimensions, we create the final dieline and you approve it, together with your artwork, before production begins. A structural sample lets you test the fit first.

How do I measure my product?

Measure the longest, widest and tallest points of the product, in that order: length, width, height, and allow a little room if it must slide in and out. Our measuring guide shows which side is which.

Which file should I download?

PDF opens in Illustrator, Acrobat and any PDF viewer. SVG opens in Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity and Figma. DXF is for CAD and die-making software. In all three the file is real size. The cut and crease lines (and the perforation lines, where a style has them) are on separate layers in the SVG and DXF files, and are separate colors in the PDF. The bleed line (orange) appears only when you choose a bleed. The measurement lines you see in the preview help you check the size; they are not in the downloaded files unless you tick "Add size labels to the file".

Can I make a tuck end box with tube holder in a size that is not allowed here?

Each measurement can be between 15 and 800 mm (0.6 to 31.5 in). For anything outside that range, or a different structure, request a quote and we will draw it for you.
