When to Choose Triangular Boxes

A triangular box has three sides, and its three corners are sharp. That makes it the wrong shape for round products and the right shape for long, thin ones. Bars, tubes, sticks and slim bottles lie along the box, and the shape adds drama to something otherwise plain. Choose a triangular box over a hexagonal or pentagonal one when the product is long and slim, or when you want the strongest break from a square pack. Choose it over a rectangular box when the shape itself is the marketing: chocolate bars, incense, pencils, small tubes. Choose a hexagonal or octagonal box instead for round products, since the corners of a triangle waste a lot of room around anything circular.

What to Look for in Triangular Boxes

Product shape. Triangular boxes fit long, slim goods. Round products leave a lot of unused room at each corner.
Side length. All three faces are equal, so the widest part of the product has to clear the triangle inside, not the face. Send the dimensions and we check the fit.
